About This Blog

The intent of this blog is to provide an historical overview of World War II from the perspective of seeing it as 'daily news events' as those living and understanding worldview political events and their personal impact would have at the time had they the front-line information presented as 'news'. Secondary will be modern news events as we pass through this time exactly 7 decades later, and we witness the last survivors as they leave our generations the world that they fought for to preserve and create in their youth.

Most quoted material published in this blog are copied/edited articles garnered from the internet (credited where published and easily found), Wikipedia (used mainly for research of details, not necessarily 'facts' or the events themselves), and various WWII history books already published and noted below. Photos inserted are from reduced size/quality found through general Google Image search, most not copyrighted and/or available under Creative Commons License to display publicly without monetary gain. For any images that may have been copyrighted, my apologies to the original photographer, subject, or inheritor, but I copied these photos for my own personal database of images and did not keep records of which were or were not copyrighted. There are no plans to use Google Adsense or other means of profiting from entries in this blog (Marketing a personal novel I am writing, for stores or collectors related to WWII, or linking to other related sites is something I may include at a later time). I apologize in advance that some articles may not receive credit or list references due to my inexperience, lack of knowledge, or general laziness (this blog is hard enough to compile the info and post it).
